Pretty good (but...)

I just bought my brand new S25 and had already scratched it slightly because it never occurred to me that keeping it in my back pocket for even one minute "in the raw", without a pouch, would be more than enough to expose it to some stray sand and grit. I clicked on the "buy" button here with some trepidation because of the countless complaints and negative reviews I've read about how glass screen protectors, in general, affect touch sensitivity and fingerprint reads. How'd things go? Shipping - I received the package in the mail (a couple days late but it wasn't a crisis) and it was a nice form-fitting shipping box. No transit damage whatsoever. Installation - The alignment frame and full-sized dust sticker(s) are a nice touch which make for a truly "goof proof" installation. The air bubble which was left after the alignment frame was removed got easily squeegeed out. Appearance - The glass has a nicely chamfered edge which covers *just enough* of the display to cover over the pixels with barely half a millimetre extra all around. I'm sure the chamfering also helps with the durability and damage resistance. I know that the screen protector can't be made to cover the glass completely because it has to be compatible with phone cases but I wish a 100% glass coverage option was available, anyway. The previously mentioned scratch ended up not being completely hidden (unsurprisingly) but is barely visible for the most part. Usage - Also unsurprisingly, I had some teething problems when it comes to the fingerprint scanner: had to re-register all the fingerprints and the scans are a little more tricky. One tip, though: you should wait an hour or two for the glass to "settle in" and bond to the screen before you decide that the fingerprint scanner doesn't work at all. Also, when it comes to having skin as dry as mine, it helps to rub your fingertips on your palm (to pick up some skin oil) if the scanner has trouble reading your prints. The fingerprint scanner, otherwise, works fairly well. The screen sensitivity is surprisingly good, overall: the touch accuracy is pretty much as good as before, too. The glass has a nice smooth feel and 'glide' to it as well, no doubt in large part to the oleophobic coating. Summary - Sure, buy it! Looks good, feels good, works good. The S25 version might not have the anti-glare features or lifetime warranty but it's a two-pack and the price is right.
